About the Role

Dovecote Support Centre Pty Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Support Worker to join our growing team in Redcliffe. In this casual position, you will play a key role in empowering our clients to live independently, build confidence, and enjoy a more socially connected life.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in centre-based activities focused on building independence.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, and engage clients in social activities and community outings.
  • Advocate for clients' needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

About You

We're seeking someone passionate, reliable, and able to take Initiative and who truly cares about making a difference. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar aged care or disability support role.
  • A genuine passion for empowering individuals with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to person-centred care.
  • A high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or a willingness to obtain it.
