The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an ambitious, competent and hardworking lawyer to join our Perth based recoveries and general liability team on a full-time basis.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • managing a caseload of recovery and general liability claims, ensuring exceptional client representation and successful outcomes
  • representing clients in negotiations and court proceedings with expertise and confidence
  • offering ongoing legal advice and support to clients throughout the entire litigation process
  • collaborating with other team members to ensure comprehensive and efficient case handling.

You will need to maintain and enhance our existing strong relationships with clients and manage your own files to ensure you are providing prompt advice, managing expectations, and determining the appropriate strategies for each matter.  You will be committed to exceeding client service standards and achieving the best outcome for our clients.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current Western Australian practising certificate
  • minimum two years' post-admission experience, preferably in recoveries and general liability, however we encourage applications from all candidates with relevant experience
  • strong technical skills with the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge in litigation involving insurance claims
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts
  • demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • a commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
