About the opportunity 
As Draftsperson at Complete by McDonald Jones, you'll play a key role in turning visions into reality. Reporting to the Drafting Manager and working amongst a tight knit and supportive team,  you'll create accurate, compliant CAD drawings with a focus on buildability. More specifically, you will:
•Interpret tender, council, and supply authority documents to create detailed working drawings
•Produce site plans that balance design with compliance, and buildability
•Prepare CDC/DA documentation and construction drawings in line with developer guidelines, council, or certifying authority requirements
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders including project coordinators, estimators, colour consultants, and the permits team
•Provide relevant Sustainability and BASIX assessment advice where appropriate to achieve compliance and best practice.
•Problem solving construction and drafting related matters
•Manage related administration tasks in line with company standards
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will demonstrate:
•Minimum of 3 years drafting using ArchiCAD or similar
•Certificate IV or equivalent in Architectural Drafting
•Experience working on residential construction projects is an advantage
•Understanding of the NCC and related construction practices and regulations
•Understanding of development approvals, construction processes, and buildability
•Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems
