**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Utilize CAD software to create precise technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams based on product design concepts.
- Collaborate closely with product designers and engineers to understand design requirements and ensure feasibility.
- To understand and calculate stack-up analysis of systems and sub-systems generating appropriate tolerances.
- Utilize probability and statistics to analyse data and make informed decisions during the design process.
- Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of drafts to incorporate feedback and maintain accuracy.
- To execute minor 3D CAD model updates.
- Maintain organized documentation of design iterations, revisions, and specifications.
- Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) and metrology teams to ensure that designs meet quality standards and specifications.
- Support Cross-Functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in product design and drafting.

**You will require the following qualifications and/or skills and experience to be successful**:

- Bachelor's degree, TAFE or equivalent in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or related field.
- Extensive experience as a draftsperson, preferably in product design or a related field.
- Good written skills and capable of writing technical reports.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OnShape, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Quality Control (QC) processes and metrology techniques.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A portfolio showcasing previous design drafts, projects, or relevant work samples is desirable.
- Experience with BOM and PDM management.
- Experience with metrology tools and measurement systems and techniques.
- Experience with creating technical documentation including Inspection Reports.
