Contract and Vendor Management Officer

As the Contract and Vendor Management Officer, you will:
• Participate in contract management activities in line with the requirements of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework and QSS Vendor Management Framework.
• Provide administrative support to the Principal Contract and Vendor Management Officers within the Contract and Vendor Management team.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience using contract, vendor, or financial management systems.
• Provide secretariat support for various strategic and contract management committees, including organising meetings, distributing papers, taking minutes, and managing actions and decisions.
• Manage and administer "routine" classified vendor contracts and agreements to ensure business needs are met.
• Other activities as required to support the Contract and Vendor Management team.
• Continuously seek to improve work practices, internal processes, and procedures in support of the organisation's strategic, business, and operational objectives. • Understand contract and vendor management, governance, financial and procurement principles.
• Ability to respond proactively and flexibly to change with a continual focus on stakeholders' needs and identifying areas of improvement.
• Experience or ability to gain knowledge of systems related to contract and vendor management functions.
• Model professional and ethical behaviour with a commitment to ongoing personal development.
This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
