About the job:
Kent are seeking a Vendor Document Controller to join our Brisbane Projects team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a critical Australian infrastructure project which will be instrumental in maintaining local fuel supplies for Australia. you will support the Lead Document Controller in the adherence of the document management systems; including but not limited to management of Vendor Data documents, managing the relationship with Vendors to ensure timely turnaround of contractual document requirements; continuous improvement of processes within Document Controls and assisting the Document Control team where necessary.
Your Day to Day will Include:
- Support the maintenance of the project information systems (Aconex & SDx) to ensure they are kept up to date and correct.
- Provides up-to-date information flow, project personnel in accordance with project schedule and procedural requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate reports in relation to all vendor Document Controls activities within the project.
- Liaising with all package managers and discipline groups on the project to ensure vendor documents are managed efficiently for the project.
- Carry out the Document Control function effectively and efficiently by following the Document Control Guide. Contribute to the improvement and overall quality of Document Control services on the Project.
- Support the Document Control team, where required, in the efficient and effective delivery of the Document Control services on the project.
- Attends regular department meetings, with emphasis on HSE.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Document Controller, including vendor data management with a solid track record supporting engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams across complex and diverse project environments. They will bring hands-on experience in both subcontractor and direct labour force settings, ideally within the multi-discipline Oil & Gas sector for a contracting company. A strong understanding of current industry standards and document control practices is essential, along with proficiency in document management systems—recent experience with Aconex is highly desirable, and familiarity with Hexagon SDx is a plus. Experience in project close-out and handover to clients is also valuable.
