The Opportunity

Are you a passionate and creative Chef ready to take the lead at one of Bayside's most celebrated dining destinations? We're seeking a dynamic Executive Chef to head up our Brighton restaurant. This is a full-time, hands-on role requiring flexibility and a genuine commitment to excellence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Owner to uphold and evolve Baix's culinary identity
  • Lead kitchen operations during service
  • Maintain an immaculate and well-organised kitchen with strong back-of-house systems
  • Recruit, train, and inspire the kitchen team, setting and upholding high professional standards
  • Mentor and coach your brigade, always leading by example
  • Oversee rostering and labour cost management for the back of house
  • Manage product ordering, supplier relationships, and stock control
  • Drive menu innovation, consistency, and presentation while contributing ideas for wine-pairing experiences
