Your new company

This is a government agency based in Canberra's inner north, seeking a six-month contractor for an immediate start, preferably with a Baseline clearance.

Your new role

  • Craft clear, concise, and engaging content tailored to diverse audiences, ensuring all communication is in plain English
  • Apply a distinct tone of voice and brand personality across written and digital channels
  • Manage social media communities and channels, including creating graphics and video content, moderating discussions, and responding to enquiries
  • Plan and prioritise a busy workload using content calendars to deliver timely and effective campaigns
  • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and engagement
  • Use social media management and listening tools, as well as creative platforms like Canva, to produce high-quality content

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity and audience needs
  • Experience in social media management and digital content creation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Tertiary qualifications in digital media, communications, marketing, or public relations (preferred but not essential)
  • Baseline Clearance is preferred
