About the Role
This is a full-time, in-office generalist role that sits at the heart of day-to-day operations for Solo Services Group and our sister company, Touch Biotechnologies. You'll be the go-to person for everyday people matters, from onboarding and contracts to performance processes and compliance, and play a key part in keeping our systems, policies, and performance cycles running smoothly.

You'll work collaboratively with other internal stakeholders, including our COO, CFO, and Executive team, to ensure alignment on key decisions and people matters. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the main HR contact across the group — owning all HR operations end-to-end

  • Managing recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes

  • Overseeing performance and development frameworks, including cycle implementation and KPI tracking

  • Providing sound advice on employment legislation, Fair Work compliance, and award interpretation

  • Driving people and culture initiatives, engagement activities, and learning programs

  • Maintaining policies, contracts, and employee records in line with legal and audit requirements

  • Supporting internal investigations, workforce transitions, and client tender responses

  • Supporting employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, performance issues, and award interpretation

About You
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy variety, autonomy, and taking ownership of your work. You're a capable generalist who understands how HR can both support and drive performance — and you're comfortable building systems, relationships, and trust from the ground up.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a generalist HR or People & Culture role

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a HR role

  • Confidence advising on Australian employment law, NES, and award obligations

  • Experience implementing or coordinating performance review cycles and development plans

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, down-to-earth style

  • A process-driven approach and the ability to balance compliance with operational needs

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office (Employment Hero experience highly regarded)
