Head of Marketing – Permanent Full Time

Based in either our Hobart or Launceston office

Solstice Energy is based in Tasmania and is the state's leading natural gas company, with over 20 years of expertise in gas transmission, distribution, transportation, and retailing.

With offices in Launceston and Hobart, and operations that span Tasmania and regional Victoria, Solstice Energy is driven by its customers' current and future needs with a clear vision to support Australia's transition to a cleaner energy future.

About the Role

You'll lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that expand Solstice Energy's footprint in the Tasmanian market. This is both a hands-on and strategic leadership role where you'll shape customer growth, oversee marketing campaigns, and be the advisor for marketing across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a small, dynamic marketing team
  • Develop and deliver innovative marketing strategies that balance customer acquisition and retention
  • Manage brand positioning to strengthen loyalty and community connection in Tasmania
  • Oversee go-to-market planning, product development, and customer value propositions
  • Use customer, market, and competitor insights to drive decision-making
  • Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Ensure compliance across all communications and manage marketing budgets effectively

About you:

  • 8+ years' senior marketing or product leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of customer experience, brand, and go-to-market strategies
  • Proven ability to manage agencies, partners, and third-party providers
  • Excellent financial literacy and commercial acumen
  • A track record of inspiring and motivating teams to deliver results
  • Energy industry experience (highly desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or Commerce
