The Role:
- Provide operational and professional leadership, direction and governance for Social Work Services, including the effective management of human, physical and financial resources.
- Lead the strategic planning, development and implementation of Social Work Services, ensuring efficient and effective clinical services, and promoting excellence in clinical practice and clinical governance for Social Work staff in Allied Health Services.
- Provide leadership and direction in the development of policies, procedures and clinical guidelines for Social Work Services, ensuring compliance with state regulations, accreditation requirements and relevant codes of practice.
You will need:
- Extensive practice expertise and experience as a Social Worker, knowledge of professional and clinical governance and a broad understanding of contemporary health service delivery issues relating to the provision of Social Work services in the publicly funded health system.
- Proven high level management experience in an acute tertiary referral Social Work service and the capacity to provide professional leadership, vision and a contemporary approach to Social Work management.
- Proven ability to achieve outcomes, drive innovation and manage change, including through quality improvement, professional development, service development and research.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
Allied Health Professional Manager, Level 5, Grade 4
$158,635 to $160,625 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
Salary Packaging:
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a "certification of eligibility" letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements
- Full member of Australian Association of Social Workers
