Trainer Assessor

NRW Civil & Mining is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking a skilled Trainer Assessor to support the successful delivery of our civil and mining projects across the Pilbara. This FIFO opportunity on an 8:6 roster offers the chance to work on diverse, large-scale projects while contributing directly to workforce capability and project outcomes.
As a Trainer Assessor, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining workforce competency on site. Your focus will be on assessing and upskilling operators across a range of mobile plant and equipment, ensuring all personnel meet site and safety requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a safe, productive, and high-performing project team.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Must hold a current Training & Assessor qualification (TAE40110)
- Previous experience in a Trainer and Assessor role within the Civil or Mining industry
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Drivers' Licence (HR)
- Demonstrated operational experience (minimum 5 years) across a wide range of surface mobile equipment, with current competencies or Statements of Attainment for the machinery being assessed
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive, team-focused environment
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Conducting theory / practical / VOC assessments (this may include ongoing training along with upskilling personnel to meet operational requirements)
- Interacting daily with crew members to assist with site safety requirements
- Ensuring compliance with the NRW Training procedure
- Training mobile equipment operators
- Ensuring personnel are fully competent on the equipment they are operating
