Symons Clark Logistics is a 150-year-old, family owned, Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

The People and Culture (P&C) Administrator plays a key role in supporting both the P&C team and employees across all stages of the employee lifecycle. From recruitment to onboarding, and ongoing employee support, this role is essential in ensuring smooth HR operations and a positive workplace experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our organisation, providing vital administrative support, responding to employee queries, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

What you will be doing…

  • Providing administrative support to the P&C and L&D team, including data entry, document preparation, and internal communications.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assisting with onboarding processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork and system updates are completed.
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including handling documentation and candidate communications.
  • Processing and tracking uniform orders while maintaining inventory records.
  • Coordinating bookings for medical assessments and other employee requirements.
  • Responding to employee queries and escalating issues as needed.
  • Supporting compliance administration, including licences, certifications, and work rights verification.
  • Assisting with organising company events and HR-related initiatives.
  • Contributing to process improvements within the P&C and L&D team.

  • Experience in an HR, administrative, or office support role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and people-focused mindset.
  • Confidence using HR systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
