People & Culture Advisor

Adelaide, South Australia Heritage and People's Choice Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

About the role – Permanent, full-time

As a People & Culture Advisor, you will partner with our People Leaders to provide clear, practical advice on a wide range of workplace matters. You will guide leaders through performance management and conduct fair, thorough investigations, while helping them build confidence in managing their people. Alongside day-to-day support, you will contribute to key initiatives such as organisational change, industrial relations, and the development of resources that foster a fair and people-focused workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide timely and high-quality advice on Employee Relations (ER) related matters to our people leaders and employees, including the interpretation and application of relevant policies and legislation, and applicable industrial instruments.
  • Co-ordinate with and support people leaders with workplace investigations, addressing workplace grievances, disputes and performance concerns
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation relevant to the ER function including standard templates and training and support material.
  • Collaborate with the broader P&C team to ensure consistency and integration of service standards; policies, procedures; workforce optimisation and workforce planning tools; guides and advice.

About you:

Ideally you will have completed a tertiary qualification in business, human resources or a related discipline or demonstrate strong working knowledge. You will bring a strong grasp of workplace legislation and the ability to interpret Awards and Enterprise Agreements with confidence. Experience in workplace investigations is highly valued, along with excellent communication skills that help you navigate sensitive conversations and build trust with leaders. Resilient and service-oriented, you're comfortable balancing tough conversations with practical support. You also enjoy the detail—whether it's reporting, working with HR systems, or supporting leader to make a real difference. You will find real job satisfaction in knowing this function helps define acceptable behaviours in our workplace and that the team plays a fundamental role in shaping the future of the bank.

Location:

Whilst our primary office locations are across Adelaide, Brisbane and Toowoomba, we are pleased to be able to consider applications from employees within Australia for this role. We also encourage you to put thought into how the work may be undertaken given your location and what support you may require.
