NJA Consulting Pty Ltd is a small to medium sized structural engineering consultancy with offices located on Brisbane's Southside and the Gold Coast.  Currently we are looking to expand our team of 10 structural engineers, and are looking for a motivated intermediate to senior level structural engineer with 5-10 years' experience.

NJA has been providing structural engineering services to Queensland, Northern NSW, the Northern Territory and throughout greater Australia for over 25 years.  In addition to our structural design capabilities, we are highly regarded throughout the industry for our extensive knowledge and experience in providing forensic engineering services.  Our team retains a wide range of skills with varying degrees of experience, and we are committed to the ongoing professional development of our team.  In addition to this, our office provides a flexible, challenging and rewarding office environment.

The successful applicant will gain exposure to a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and forensic and remedial design projects and services, allowing for the opportunity to expand upon your current engineering knowledge.  You will work within a team environment, but will also be encouraged to work independently when required. Opportunities for travel throughout Queensland and interstate will also be available.

In addition to being a self-motivated person, the following qualifications, requirements and additional skills will be highly regarded:

  • 5 to 10 years' structural engineering experience;
  • RPEQ applicants or applicants currently working towards becoming registered;
  • Have a current driver's licence and own vehicle;
  • Competent report writing and oral communication skills;
  • Sound technical knowledge of timber, steel and concrete structures and the applicable Australian Standards;
  • Be motivated to learn and committed to ongoing professional development;
  • Have experience in the use of structural analysis software's such as Space Gass, Inducta Slb, Hyne Design etc.
