About the role

Straightload Transport is seeking a full-time Local HR Rigid Driver to join our team in Tottenham, Victoria. This is an immediate start position, offering stable employment with a leading transport and logistics provider. As a Local HR Rigid Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods to our clients across the region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operating a HR rigid vehicle to deliver goods to customers within the local area
  2. Adhering to all road rules and safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, your vehicle, and other road users
  3. Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods at delivery sites
  4. Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
  5. Providing excellent customer service to our clients
  6. Collaborating with the wider transport team to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

  1. A valid HR driver's licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience driving rigid vehicles
  2. Must hold any valid truck licence with relevant driving experience
  3. Demonstrated experience in a similar delivery driver role, preferably within the transport and logistics industry
  4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  5. Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanour
  6. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  7. Familiarity with the Melbourne area and knowledge of efficient delivery routes
  8. Australian citizenship or permanent residency required for this immediate start position
