About the role

Altona nth

Seeking a heavy rigid driver ready to step up to Heavy combination license must have a minimum 12 months Heavy Rigid licence and be able and willing to go for license within 4 weeks (financial help and training available for license)

Or a heavy combination driver prepared to do a mixture of hr and hc driving

You are wanted for a small family run transport company based in Melbourne (Altona nth.)

Above award wages, penalty rates paid plenty of over time.

Morrell/skip bin experience an advantage.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operateing a heavy rigid and heavy combination vehicles to transport goods across our network
  • Transportation of scrap metals
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete all necessary documentation
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and
  • Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations and company policies
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

  • Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) minimum 12 months or Heavy Combination (HC) no minimum driver's licence
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well solo and as a part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of road transport regulations and best practices
  • Must be reliable and punctual
