People Who Care provides person-centred assistance and support to vulnerable people, helping participants to achieve their goals and remain as independent as possible. The role of our Schedulers is to provide rostering and administrative support to our service areas, including aged care, disability, and veterans' programs.
This is a part-time role: 5 days per week - Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 12.00pm (4 hours per day)
Rate of pay - $37.27 per hour + Salary Packaging
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with participants and staff.
- Manage and respond promptly to incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Proactively monitor and adapt to client needs and staff availability, ensuring accurate and timely responses to changes.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with workers and clients to enhance engagement and staff retention.
- Identify and address shift vacancies, make changes (as needed) and communicate changes effectively to employees and clients.
- Conduct client reviews (as needed).
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the aged care or disability support sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience and a genuine interest in supporting the provision of services to vulnerable people
- High level of personal motivation, initiative and integrity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with individuals from a range of social, financial and cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn and competency in using technology (internet, email and smartphone).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months).
Desirable:
- An understanding of the SCHADS Award and employment entitlements.
