Canterbury South Public School is a growing school dedicated to fostering academic growth and student wellbeing. Canterbury South Public School is located adjacent to Cup and Saucer Creek, between Earlwood, Clemton Park and Campsie and is a member of the Canterbury network of schools. The school operates within a contemporary co-teaching learning environment in which up to 4 classes teach and learn collaboratively in flexible learning spaces. Students engage in lessons co-taught by their teachers using various co-teaching modes and methods.
Canterbury South Public School engages the co-teaching cycles where hub buddies plan and teach in cycles of continuous collaboration to facilitate collective teacher efficacy. Throughout the cycle, opportunities to investigate student assessment data, engage in shared professional learning, time to co-plan strategic learning experiences and consideration of student learning goals are considered. Selection Criteria- Approval to teach Infants (K-2) and Primary, with a demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality, data-informed literacy and numeracy programs, utilising evidence-based practices.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to actively contribute to a culture that values collaboration, high expectations and building positive partnerships with the whole school community.
- Evidence of effective and positive classroom management and ability to develop an engaging co teaching learning environment that enhances the wellbeing of all students.
- Demonstrated capacity and willingness to support whole school programs including extra-curricular activities and HPGE initiatives, to strengthen school culture.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
