We are looking for energetic, highly motivated people who are passionate about customer experience to join our library community.  You will be part of a dynamic team that assists in the delivery of the next generation library service that is recognised as a centre of excellence for literacy, learning, innovation and discovery.

About The Role:

Exciting opportunities are available within our Community Experience team for Casual Library Assistants to join us on an as-needed basis working across our five locations. Flexibility is key, as successful candidates must be available for shifts on a 7-day roster, including weekends. Our team is dedicated to providing an integrated and unified service that addresses evolving community requirements by linking individuals to resources, information, services, and technology.

About You: 

If you have:

  • The drive to consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences within a dynamic and fast-paced Library environment.
  • A passion for working with the community and a desire to have a positive impact in their lives.
  • Previous experience in a Library setting and knowledge of LMS and One Card consortium.
  • Confidence in supporting community with use of current technology and digital offerings.
  • Ongoing availability to work over a 7-day roster, including weekends.

The Detail: 

These positions are offered on a casual basis, and are classified at Level 2, with the hourly rate being in the range of $ $53.65 (inclusive of casual loadings).

A current unprohibited Working with Children Check must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
