Suburban Connect is a consortium of global leaders in tunnelling including CPB Contractors, Ghella and Acciona Construction delivering the Tunnels South package on Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East, on behalf of Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA).

We have a broad range of roles available to build our diverse and inclusive workforce, including construction and engineering, planning and environmental management, corporate support, administration, communications and many others.

SRL East from Cheltenham to Box Hill is now under construction, with tunnelling to start in 2026 and trains to be running by 2035.

Suburban Connect is constructing the 16kms of tunnels between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley using 4 tunnel boring machines and a range of excavation methods. The works also include 55 cross passages, 2 tunnel portal structures, 2 station box excavations and associated supports.

Personal Assistant

We are currently seeking a experienced Personal Assistant to join the team on Suburban Connect.  This role will be responsible for administrative support to the Project Director.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the day to day activities of the Director
  • Oversee and coordinate Executive diaries which will include scheduling and calendar planning
  • Monitor and respond to communications promptly
  • Undertake documentation administration as required
  • Produce documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Coordinate aspects of internal and external meetings, preparing agendas, taking and typing minutes and distributing to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Provide accurate information and customer service to the client, external vendors, subcontractors and community stakeholders
  • Treat sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
  • Organise and assist with hosting events relevant to the team within budget.

To be considered you will have:

  • Certificate II, III or IV in Business Administration or similar would be an advantage
  • 8-10 years' experience in an office environment
  • Experience providing support at a senior level
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft office suite
