The opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our highly regarded Property practice group working alongside Partners Martin Downing and Melissa Hore. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team based in our Sydney CBD office. You will be acting for a variety of high-profile clients in relation to various property matters.

You'll be busy with

  • dealing with client/agent/solicitor calls & email enquiries.
  • preparing and drafting contracts for sale.
  • attending to exchange of contracts and settlement as well as post-exchange matters.
  • liaising with incoming and outgoing mortgagees.
  • completing lease transactions.
  • conducting settlements and preparing settlement figures and documents.
  • liaising with banks, agents and other stakeholders.
  • utilising PEXA efficiently and independently.

To success in this role, ideally, you'll have

  • previous property paralegal experience within a legal environment
  • ability to handle an active file load, working on multiple projects and undertaking volume project conveyancing
  • excellent interpersonal skills to deliver high standard service to our clients and work with third parties
  • an organised and systematic approach to a busy workload
  • a willingness to work with new technologies, with exposure and knowledge using platforms and systems such as PEXA and Aderant Expert is highly desirable
