The Company

JLegal has partnered with a prominent property development and investment group to secure a highly experienced
Senior Paralegal
(10-15 years' PQE) for a 6–12 month contract, with strong prospects for extension. The business is delivering some of Australia's most significant residential projects and is known for its high-growth trajectory, professionalism, and commitment to excellence. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic in-house legal team where your expertise will directly support major transactions and strategic initiatives.

The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Manage Off-the-Plan (OTP) conveyancing transactions end-to-end, including contracts, negotiations, exchanges, and settlements
  • Liaise with external law firms on presale finance certifications, CPs, and due diligence requirements
  • Prepare, lodge, and transact via PEXA (caveats, mortgages, withdrawals, stand-alone matters)
  • Assist with acquisition transactions including contract reviews, amendments, and post-exchange obligations
  • Prepare and maintain legal documentation, briefs, and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Conduct legal research and monitor changes in legislation impacting property development
  • Support the General Counsel and wider team with administrative, compliance, and reporting tasks

Key Requirements

  • 10–15+ years' experience as a paralegal or senior licensed conveyancer, with strong expertise in OTP conveyancing and presale finance
  • Demonstrated experience supporting acquisition transactions within property development
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PEXA (experience with ClickUp and Trisearch desirable)
  • Conveyancing License highly regarded
