Paralegal Pathway Program 2026
We have a fantastic opportunity for three law students currently in their penultimate year, or entering their final year in 2026, to join our Paralegal Pathway Program in Sydney.
Russell Kennedy Paralegal Program
If you are a law student going into your final year in 2026, our Paralegal Pathway Program is designed to give you a real taste of life at Russell Kennedy. Russell Kennedy offers an 18-week program rotating through 3 practice groups. The program is designed to provide in-depth, on-the-job experience working across different teams within the firm. In the program, paralegals will spend 6 weeks in each practice group, which will provide an opportunity to work with Principals and their different teams, clients, and industries, and take a deep dive into matters, applying their skills learnt from formal studies in a practical setting.
Upon commencement, paralegals are allocated a paralegal lead for their program. They meet with their lead on a regular basis to discuss their progression, rotations and assist with personal development. In addition to this, we also allocate a rotational supervisor and paralegal support for each rotation. The paralegal lead, rotational supervisor and paralegal support will ensure that you receive the necessary support to get the most out of your time with us.
We offer three paralegal roles each year, with two commencing in late January and the remaining one commencing in early June. All roles are part time ideally 3 days a week depending on your university workload. The Paralegal Pathway Program is our future talent pathway into the Russell Kennedy Graduate Program in Sydney.
What we look for in a Paralegal
Naturally a sound academic record is an important starting point, but we also look for other attributes, such as extracurricular activities and life experiences outside your studies. These may be previous work experience, volunteer work, travel, sporting or cultural interests.
We operate in a friendly environment, and we genuinely encourage a work / life balance. Personable, insightful, intelligent people with energy and enthusiasm will thrive at Russell Kennedy.
If this sounds like you, we are interested in hearing from you
