Part Time Paralegal Position

A boutique Sydney CBD commercial litigation and property law firm seeks a law student who has completed 2-3 years university study in law for a part time paid paralegal / debt recovery clerk position. Flexible with study commitments. Part time 2-3 days per week with potential increase in days in the future.

The position involves assisting the partners and solicitors of the firm with litigation, debt recovery and property files, on a task by task basis, and assistance with administrative matters, Court filings and deliveries.

An opportunity to work in a friendly team environment and to learn valuable legal skills and gain experience in a busy law practice.

The role includes work in the following areas:

· Debt recovery and finance litigation;

· Bankruptcy and corporate insolvencies;

· Building and construction litigation;

· General Commercial advisory;

· Property disputes and litigation; and

· Strata Law disputes.

The role requires:

  • Being self motivated and capable of working independently;
  • High levels of accuracy and organisational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes;
  • A hardworking and dedicated approach to practice;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation;
  • Strong academic qualifications.
