Position Overview

With more than 30 years of experience, our client operates as a fully independent, profit-to-members superannuation fund serving Australians' retirement needs.

Reporting to the Head of Distribution, you will play a key role in driving new business sales across all verticals, growing membership through B2B2C channels, and executing the sales strategy.

**Key Responsibilities

Business Development for Growth and Sustainability**

  • Execute sales strategies and business development initiatives to drive membership growth;
  • Establish and deepen key partnerships with employers, businesses, industry organisations with a strong engagement focus and integrity;
  • Identify high-potential target segments and prospects through market research, networking, customer insights, profiling, and discovery activities;
  • Analyse market gaps and opportunities, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver targeted campaigns and activations;
  • Develop and implement strategic account and relationship management plans for key client segments, with regular performance reporting;
  • Drive employee conversion initiatives for both new and existing employer members;
  • Utilize the member base and identify growth opportunities to increase member lifetime value, such as average account balance, through effective strategies;
  • Enhance professional capability by actively monitoring industry developments and regulatory updates;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client profiles and interaction records in the CRM to support data analysis, customer journey mapping, proposition development, and storytelling.

Key Requirements

  • 5 – 7 years' experience in business development / sales in financial services or similar sector;
  • Bachelor's degree; a major in Business, Commerce, or Psychology (desirable);
  • RG146 certification;
  • Strong account management skills with a customer-centric and loyalty-driven approach;
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across multiple industry sectors and verticals;
  • Ability to implement sales plans and manage performance metrics and reporting;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Digitally proficient with solid business acumen and CRM expertise;
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality service with integrity, aligned with company values and compliance standards.
