About the Role
This newly created role reflects our client's growth focus for 2025–26 amid a maturing insolvency market and increasing demand for advisory-led solutions. The Business Development Manager will drive referral relationships, expand firm visibility, and identify new business opportunities across accounting, legal, and finance networks.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new referral relationships with accounting firms, law practices, financiers, and business advisors.
- Actively promote our client's insolvency and turnaround services through meetings, networking events, and presentations.
- Build a strong pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities aligned to firm strategy.
- Nurture and manage referral relationships, ensuring a high level of service and communication.
- Collaborate with partners to produce thought leadership content and contribute to LinkedIn and industry marketing campaigns.
- Monitor insolvency and restructuring market trends and competitor activity.
- Provide market feedback to inform firm strategy and service development.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development or client relationship management within professional services (accounting, legal, banking, or insolvency).
- Established network within the accounting or finance community.
- Demonstrated success in building and converting B2B pipelines.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Commercially minded, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.
- Experience with CRM systems and data-driven business development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in business development or client relationship management within professional services.

Pay range and compensation package
