About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong's CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

Safety, Quality and Improvement Unit

Barwon Health's Safety and Quality unit provides support to the organisation in the areas of accreditation, incident and complaint management, clinical audit, risk management, policy and procedure management, medico-legal services and Consumer Centred Care.

About the role

The Improvement Project Coordinator position is responsible for managing and coordinating the Safer Care Victoria (SCV) funded Adult Sepsis Collaborative Project at Barwon Health. The aim of the project is to improve sepsis recognition and timely management for adults presenting to Victorian hospitals in The role includes scoping, developing the project plan, engaging and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, understanding current Sepsis management across inpatient units at Barwon Health and facilitating the required quality improvement activities to reduce serious harm to patients with Sepsis.
