We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant (business partnering role) to join us on a full-time basis at our Support Centre located in Camberwell. This is an office-based role.

About the role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, driving process improvements and partnering with operations to enhance performance across our 12 Aged Care Homes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own month-end close, journals, accruals, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to analyse, report, and monitor financial performance.
  • Coordinate the annual group audit, including liaising with auditors and external accountants.
  • Leading and managing the improvement of finance systems and processes to enhance financial controls and reporting to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy.
  • Support cash flow forecasting, group banking and Prudential reporting.
  • Forecasting and budgeting support and analysis to the business.
  • Tax compliance – BAS and Payroll Tax.
  • Providing insightful and real time financial/payroll analysis to optimise financial outcomes and meet care minute compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the Aged Care Quarterly and Annual Reporting.
  • Developing relevant financial modelling.
  • Government funding analysis and recommendations.

About You:

  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of contemporary accounting practices (preferably in Aged Care).
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • High level financial modelling skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven capability in process improvement and financial reporting accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ERP System experience
  • Right to work in Australia
