Community Legal WA (CLWA) is the peak body for 25 community legal centres and Aboriginal Community Controlled Family Violence Prevention Legal Services members. We have a vision of fairness in Western Australia where everybody has access to justice and contribute towards legal sector collaboration, law reform, advocacy and capacity building.
We are now looking for a Quality & Governance Coordinator to join our tight knit Perth (hybrid) team. This position leads and manages initiatives across the sector to improve quality and coordinates the sector's key quality and accreditation tool - the National Accreditation Scheme (NAS) as well as providing internal governance support to CLWA.
Offered on a permanent part time basis, this role will be between 52.5 – 60 hours per fortnight, depending on the successful candidate's skill set and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with CLS stakeholders to foster a sector culture of continuous quality improvement and provide support to individual CLS to engage with the scheme.
- Develop, manage and support a pool of accreditation reviewers to conduct accreditation assessments and associated work consistent with the NAS Standards.
- Ensure the assessment, review and administrative activities within the accreditation cycle are met on time and in keeping with the Guidelines, and maintain document management and information systems.
- Collaborate with the Sector Development Manager to ensure that the strategic identification and analysis or risks, issues and trends informs CLWA's sector development program.
- Write reports for CLWA and funders on the NAS and other quality initiatives.
- Support the CEO through the development and review of corporate governance and policies, ensuring compliance across all regulatory activities.
- Administer CLWA Board activities including documentation, compliance and meeting minutes.
- Development, implementation and evaluation of Human Resource systems, policies and procedures including Work Health and Safety training and annual audit.
- Support the Corporate Services Manager new employee recruitment, onboarding and inductions processes.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in accreditation and quality improvement, and in using compliance or quality standards to assess and enhance performance.
- High level organisational skills and experience, including planning, driving outcomes, and meeting timelines and reporting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- High level stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to consult, communicate, provide feedback and build productive connections across the CLS sector, for mutual benefit towards shared goals.
- Strong critical thinking and analysis skills, combined with a keen attention to detail.
- Computer literacy including all areas of MS365, and the ability to quickly get across other platforms and software.
- Understanding of the operations of CLS and the various contexts in which they operate, and the diversity of their operations, desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering governance and HR, desirable.
