Looking for a role that enables you to have a positive impact on the recruitment and retention of the Aboriginal workforce?
The Directorate for People and Culture have an exciting opportunity for a Program Officer to join their team on a full-time ongoing basis.
In this role, you will be:
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies, policies and programs relating to the Aboriginal workforce.
- Supporting the development of cultural support and mentoring initiatives.
- Providing advice to relevant stakeholders in matters pertaining to Aboriginal Employment.
- Facilitating the identification of roles suitable for pool recruitment, advertising and selection processes within the department.
- Coordinating the administration and recruitment of Aboriginal Traineeship and Cadetship programs.
About You:
We are looking for a team player who is passionate about making a positive impact on the recruitment and retention of our Aboriginal workforce and has the following capabilities:
- High level communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in reviewing existing work practices, systems and procedures in pursuit of best practice opportunities.
- Proficiency in analysing and solving complex problems whilst displaying initiative.
- High level of IT skills to develop briefing papers and written reports.
- The ability to engage with Aboriginal staff, organisations and community to develop and maintain effective networks.
