About The Role
The Workforce Project Officer (Early Years) is responsible for developing and delivering workforce solutions to support the Workforce Management directorate. Key to this role will be undertaking research, analysis and project delivery focused on improving people outcomes and services within early childhood education and care servcies for the Department of Education.

The position is based within Workforce Management and reports to the Manager, Early Years Workforce.

The Workforce Project Officer is responsible for the coordination of projects requiring engagement and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders including teachers and leaders across the Department. This role will deliver important business management functions for the directorate to ensure consistent and efficient business practices are well maintained as well as leading and maintaining key registers, analysing data and drawing insights to support seamless workforce management outcomes within the directorate.

The Workforce Project Officer will ensure successful implementation of projects by exercising judgement, using initiative, understanding public sector human resource frameworks and applying well developed project management skills and techniques. Projects are associated with recruitment, selection, deployment, vacancy monitoring and reporting, case management, special placements, site-based programs, contingency staffing and variety of other workforce management related strategies.

Qualifications
Essential:
NIL

Desirable:
A relevant qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Project or Business Management.

Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
