The Company

As the business continues to expand nationally, they are seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ professional to join their team and support projects across the East Coast.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of HSEQ Manager, this position will play a key role in driving health, safety, environment, and quality performance across multiple projects on the East Coast. You will be supporting project teams, implementing and auditing systems, and ensuring compliance with company and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of HSEQ systems and processes
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments across project sites
  • Support project teams through toolbox talks, inductions, and training
  • Facilitate incident investigations and drive corrective actions
  • Maintain HSEQ documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to site and project staff
  • Work collaboratively with operations teams to embed a positive safety culture

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety (or related discipline)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a dedicated HSEQ role within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of safety legislation, systems, and auditing processes
  • Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO-certified management systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving and risk identification capability
  • Self-motivated, practical, and approachable, with the ability to influence at all levels
