We are looking to employ a new team member who has experience in hospital administration roles.
Keilor Private Hospital is a respected, modern day procedure hospital and co-located consulting suites. We are patient focused and offer an exceptionally high quality private patient experience. This role is key to providing communication, administration, patient support and the coordination of hospital admissions, along with other hospital administrative duties.
Key responsibilities:
- Reception duties including pre-admission, admission and discharge
- Liaising with health funds to ensure patient eligibility, out of pocket costs and the provision of informed consent
- Accurate computer data entry for admissions, discharge and consultations
- Management of medical and account records
- Maintaining appointment lists to ensure smooth running and timeliness
- Reception of patients, doctors, staff, visitors
- Professional and courteous telephone communication
- Clerical and administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the organisation
- Booking patients for procedures
- Answering phone enquiries
Criteria
- Hospital and / or healthcare experience desirable
- Must be able to thrive in a busy environment
- Ability to multitask is essential

The successful applicant must be available to work variable shifts which include mornings, afternoons (and evenings on rare occasions). Week days only.
