**Neonatal Services Practice Clinic Administration Officer**

**Ongoing Position**
**8 Hours per week (Mondays)**

Creating exceptional experiences is at the heart of everything we do for our patients, their families, and our people across our specialised services within maternity, neonatal and women's health.Neonatal Services at The Women's Hospital, Melbourne has up to 62 beds, including neonatal intensive care and special care pods. It is one of the largest nurseries in Australia.

As a state-wide leader in neonatal services, each year we care for up to 2000 premature and unwell babies from across Victoria in our Neonatal intensive care and special care nursery. The neonatal team provides a family centred care approach and our model of care is centred on keeping mothers and babies together. Families are encouraged to engage with the care of their baby. Developmental care is also an important factor in how we care for these vulnerable and sick babies.

**You Contribution**

The purpose of the Neonatal Services Practice Administration Officer is:

- To provide clerical administrative support to the Consultant Neonatologists, Private Practice
Group and Neonatal Outpatient Clinics.

**About You**

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Clerical/reception experience (minimum 12 months) in a healthcare setting.
- Extensive Experience in Adminstration / Personal Service
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of Australia or hold a valid VISA with appropriate work rights
- Have well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform administrative / customer service tasks in a high volume and complex environment?
- Highly developed interpersonal Skills, including customer service and stakeholders relationship maintenance.
- Strong administrative skills & attention to detail?
- Basic understanding of medical terminology?
- Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Record

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.

As this role fits into category C of the departments risk ratings, applicants are strongly encouraged (although not required) to be vaccinated against influenza.)
