Role Overview
As a Producer at Public Sector Network (PSN), you will be responsible for researching, developing, and delivering a suite of strategic public sector engagement products across Events, Training, and Research & Innovation Councils (RICs). You will act as the subject matter expert for your assigned region, ensuring content quality, stakeholder engagement, and commercial viability across all products.
Key Responsibilities (by Product Type)
Government Innovation Weeks (GIWs)
- Research and develop up to 4
GIWs annually across ANZ
- Conduct in-depth research via Teams calls and desk research with senior government executives to shape relevant program themes.
- Acquire the required number of executive-level speakers per event, ensuring:
• Topical relevance, seniority, and diversity
• Gender parity and inclusivity
- Coordinate training delivery at GIWs:
• 1-2 in person training sessions per GIW
- Create detailed internal briefs for SPEX, marketing, and delegate sales.
- Conduct competitive analysis to ensure appropriate timing and market fit.
- Serve as lead onsite producer and/or virtual host for delivery.
- Write post-event research reports
Training Courses
- Develop and deliver standalone virtual and in-person training sessions as part of your allocated portfolio.
- Liaise with internal teams to identify learning needs, align trainers, and finalise
logistics.
- Brief Marketing and Delegate Sales teams on course relevance and value proposition.
- Ensure commercial rationale is clearly articulated for paid registrations (typically $1,000+ per attendee).
Research & Innovation Councils (RICs)
- Produce 3 RICs annually per State/Province, aligned to GIWs or major policy themes.
- Define topics, manage speaker and facilitator communications, and oversee delivery.
- Write post-event research reports
- Confirm that all eligible GIW speakers are committed to attending at least one relevant RIC.
Executive Engagement
- Conduct interviews with speakers to create written and podcast content
pre event.
- Ensure content supports ongoing community engagement and research efforts.
Online Community Engagement
- Manage assigned PSN online communities:
• Post timely articles, content, and discussion topics
• Promote upcoming events, RICs, and training
• Foster meaningful dialogue among members
Cross-Functional Commercial Collaboration
- Identify and refer SPEX leads to Sponsorship Sales.
- Work closely with Marketing and Delegate Sales to align messaging, drive attendance, and meet revenue goals.
Success Metrics
- Delivery of your allocated GIWs annually, including training coordination by region
- Production of 3 RICs per event per year with aligned reports
- Speaker acquisition that meets seniority, diversity, and membership targets
- On-time delivery of briefs and assets
- Contribution to PSN's content ecosystem (reports, interviews, podcasts)
- Community growth and engagement metrics
- Commercial impact in collaboration with Sponsorship and Delegate Sales
