EVENTS AND DIGITAL PRODUCER
The Lowy Institute is seeking an
Events and Digital Producer
to play a central role in delivering our world-class events program and digital content.
The Events and Digital Producer will manage the end-to-end technical production of the Institute's in-person, hybrid and live streamed events, as well as the editing and delivery of digital content, including podcasts, videos, graphics and other marketing collateral.
Working closely with the Events, Communications and Media, and Digital teams, this role ensures our events and digital outputs meet the highest professional standards and reach audiences in Australia and around the world.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage the technical production of the Lowy Institute's live streamed, hybrid and in-person events, including the annual Lowy Lecture and Lowy Institute Media Award. To manage the production and coordination of graphic and video content for the Institute's digital channels, including its website and social media platforms. To record and edit the Institute's podcasts, including its flagship
Lowy Institute Conversations
podcast, and manage scheduling of podcast episodes.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
Demonstrated experience producing in-person, hybrid and live streamed events is essential. The candidate should be an experienced user of audio-visual hardware and live streaming software, such as Wirecast.
Strong visual storytelling skills are essential, as is the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives. The candidate should be able to create, edit, and manage content across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, and video platforms.
The candidate should be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) or similar tools for creating visual and multimedia assets.
Strong writing and editing skills for crafting compelling captions, posts, or scripts are key. The candidate should be able to organise and maintain a vast library of files, including photos, videos, and documents.
Adaptability to troubleshoot and innovate within a fast-paced environment is essential. The candidate should be able to work independently and coordinate activity as part of a small team.
