**About the role
Temporary full time opportunity to develop, implement and evaluate strategies to recruit and support retention of Medical Officers (of all levels) for Redcliffe Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Oversee the allocated areas of medical workforce to ensure that adequate numbers of appropriately qualified medical staff are provided to ensure that patient care delivery is optimised.
Provide authoritative, expert and timely advice in relation to medical workforce issues.
Oversee and manage the planning and implementation of medical recruitment and placements within the designated units.
Ensure systems are in place to monitor currency of relevant requirements eg (but not restricted to) Queensland Health policies and practices, Medical Board of Australia Registration, College Fellowship (where applicable), Medicare Australia Provider status and Immigration status of all potential and existing medical staff.
Coordinate and manage term allocations for junior medical staff to meet service delivery demands and assist with identified career needs.
