Eastwood Designers is a Melbourne-based design studio committed to working closely with our clients to deliver thoughtfully crafted residential and commercial projects.

With our extensive experience in both residential and commercial projects, we approach each design with thoughtful consideration and a thorough understanding of the needs of the building's occupants.

We are currently seeking an AutoCAD & Revit capable Building Designer / Architect to join our Melbourne studio.

Please note, that this role is a full-time role; Five days a week in the office.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, this role is primarily responsible for producing concept sketches, town planning documentation & construction documentation whilst taking into account planning overlays and Rescode requirements.

We encourage candidates with the following skills, experience, and character traits to apply:

  • Self-motivated & reliable
  • Minimum 2-4 years post graduate work experience in Australia
  • Experience with client briefs and meetings
  • Relevant tertiary building and construction qualifications.
  • A building design diploma is required for this position.
  • Read and interpret architectural working drawings, engineering, soil reports and specifications
  • A good understanding of local planning overlays.
  • Sound Experience with high end single dwellings, townhouses, apartments, and commercial projects
  • AutoCAD proficiency essential
  • 3D modelling and rendering a plus
  • Flair in design with trending materials
  • Comprehensive knowledge in relevant Australian Standards & NCC
  • Solid design & documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate all aspects of a project from Schematic Design to Construction ensuring compliance and standards are maintained
  • Strong time management skills with ability to plan, organize and prioritize own workload
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to coordinate sub consultants
