The Acquired Injury Support Services team within Anglicare Tasmania are looking for someone with a genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities.
We are seeking a like minded individual to join our exceptional support team who exemplify Anglicare Tasmania's values of hope, compassion, justice and respect.
Acquired Injury Support Worker
Anglicare's Acquired Injury Support Workers provide direct care and support to clients to ensure that their individual needs are met. Anglicare works with clients using a person-centred approach to assist and support clients to live a full life. The aim is to assist clients to develop additional skills in line with their goals and support plan.
The things that you may need to work with our clients on may include:
- personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)
- medication administration
- meal preparation
- manual handling
- transport
- purchases
- social support
- record keeping and reporting
To join our team you must have the following:
- Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rights
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or currently working towards one.
- Experience in the Disability Industry
- A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicle
- A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
- A National Police Check (Working with vulnerable peoples)
IMPORTANT
- Successful applicants are required to have an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before commencement.
- On commencement successful applicants will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
