We're looking for Melbourne-based Senior Legal Counsel to join us and undertake a secondment with one of our clients in the higher education sector

About You:
We're looking for an experienced employment lawyer with 8+ years PQE who is ready for a new challenge and take on contract work. Ideally, you've trained with a well-regarded firm and have worked in-house. You have strong experience working with employment law issues and you think like an in-house advisor. Importantly, you enjoy turning your hand to new things that come up. You are commercially-minded, pro-active and flexible with strong technical skills.
Your other skills and experience may include but are not limited to:
- Employment law advice
- Industrial relations
- WHS/OHS
- Appearance work at the Fair Work Commission
- General protection and unfair dismissal claims
- Anti-discrimination/equal opportunity compliance and claims defence
- Workplace investigations
And you have proven experience in:
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the legal team and with internal clients
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
