Senior Legal Counsel

Position Description

Reporting to the
Head of Legal Australia
, you will work closely with other senior in-house counsel and business leaders across Australia and Asia Pacific. The role will support a diverse portfolio of
public infrastructure, energy, and heavy civil projects.

This is a senior, hands-on position that combines both strategic and transactional responsibilities. You will:

  • Provide leadership on legal and commercial issues relating to projects and prospects across the Asia Pacific region.
  • Structure, prepare, negotiate, and conclude transactions in collaboration with commercial and project teams.
  • Advise on legal issues during project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies, and protocols.
  • Work autonomously on complex, high-value transactions.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will bring:

  • 8+ years' post-qualification experience
    in construction and infrastructure law, gained within a leading law firm and/or major EPC or project delivery organisation.
  • Strong technical construction law skill set encompassing contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory work.
  • C
    urrent Australian practicing certificate
    .
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-party transactions with a commercial and solutions-focused mindset.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, thriving in a lean and high-performing team.
