The Opportunity

We're searching for driven New Business Financial Advisers ready to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

As a New Business Financial Adviser, you'll manage and assist in converting qualified leads, Assist in conducting client discovery sessions and then deliver compliant, timely advice. You will be supported by The Leadership Team, Existing Business Advisers, an Insurance Manager, Paraplanners, and our Concierge-style CRM team.

You'll receive a strong pipeline of new clients, clear processes, and full support — but you'll be expected to communicate clearly, follow direction, and deliver on time.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client meetings, fact finds, and strategy presentations efficiently and professionally
  • Deliver financial advice across superannuation, insurance, investments, retirement, and aged care
  • Maintain audit-ready file notes and compliant SOA/ROA documentation
  • Transition new clients seamlessly into ongoing service programs
  • Operate effectively under direction from senior advisers and management
  • Communicate clearly, own your outcomes, and meet deadlines
  • Uphold VFG's standards of accountability, compliance, and best-interest duty
  • Embrace and implement process improvements and technology changes that enhance results

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Financial Planning or FASEA-approved qualification
  • FASEA and RG146 accreditation completed or near completion
  • 1–3 years' experience in financial advice, paraplanning, or client strategy roles
  • Strong technical understanding of superannuation, insurance, and investments
  • Proficiency in advice software eg: Adviser Logic, Connective.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication — Direct, Professional, and Transparent
  • Adaptable and open to innovation — you move fast, stay compliant, and evolve with change
  • A disciplined operator who follows process, respects structure, and delivers outcomes
  • SMSF Qualified would also be an advantage
