Reporting to the Group Finance & Sales Operations Manager, the Management Accountant - Operations and Supply Chain is a  pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and inventory across our manufacturing operations. This role, with a finance discipline, will drive systemisation, product master data discipline, operational analysis, and reporting that improves group wide visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and key operational metrics.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to optimise production planning, labor efficiency, and inventory levels.
  • Manage procurement planning to align with supplier minimums, storage capacity, shelf life, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Lead group stocktakes and manage inventory adjustments.
  • Support operational forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Assist in analysing capital investment opportunities to enhance throughput and inventory processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant industry standards.
  • Provide cost analysis for new and reformulated products, and support decisions on phasing out obsolete items.
  • Contribute to month-end close and financial reporting processes

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a heavy inventory focus.
  • 3+ years of experience in cost or management accounting, ideally in food or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
