The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you'll take ownership of a defined salon territory, partnering closely with Salon owners to drive performance, profitability, and alignment with the Ella Baché brand. You'll play a vital role in shaping the success of our Salon network through strategic planning, hands-on coaching, and performance enhancement.
This role is suited to a commercially minded, relationship-driven professional who thrives on achieving results through others.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management & Salon Performance
- Develop and deliver annual and monthly sales forecasts, ensuring achievement of sales targets.
- Identify performance gaps and proactively implement corrective plans to keep results on track.
- Manage salon inventory in line with the prescribed stock model, optimising both retail and professional product levels.
- Partner with salon owners to implement tailored business plans that reflect a Skin Solutions model and strong retail mindset, encompassing marketing, training, staffing and delivering on salon metrics such as # diagnosis, facial 30%/ treatments retail 30% treatment 70%, number of customer visits and product/ treatment ratios are on target.
- Drive compliance and brand alignment across the network, ensuring feedback is delivered and improvement plans are implemented when required.
- Drive a positive culture within the salon territory reflective of values and behaviours
- Effectively manage call cycles based on Franchise Agreement level (Platinum, Gold or Old) to drive productivity and enable results.
- Visit Department stores weekly, ensuring presentation standards and overall standards are meeting expectations
Business Development
Collaborate with the Franchise Team to identify and secure new franchise opportunities driving growth from within and expansion into new markets, delivering monthly and annual salon opening targets.
Collaboratively deliver the full onboarding process for new franchisees, ensuring alignment with brand standards, timelines, and operational metric's.
Training, People & Collaboration
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of new salons and their teams.
- Manage department store therapist recruitment and onboarding.
- Deliver consistent coaching to business owners and therapists in line with Ella Baché's service and operational standards.
- Act as local advocate for Ella Baché, driving customer acquisition and retention
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners including Training, Marketing, and Sales, to deliver outcomes that strengthen brand performance and profitability.
- Monitor industry trends and implement continuous improvements
About You
You'll bring:
Business Diploma or similar
Proven experience in sales management, retail wholesale, or business development, ideally within the beauty, retail, or service industries.
- Proven successful sales track record, passionate about identifying new opportunities, closing deals and a track record of delivering business growth.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and coaching skills with the ability to build effective relationships with salon owners, therapists and other stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Passion for skincare, wellness, education and empowering others to succeed.
- Intermediate Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Be willing and able to travel across WA as required by the Company
