Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The Purchasing Officer will work closely with other departments to ensure that all purchasing needs are met and that the organization operates efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that purchasing needs are met and that goods and services are delivered on time
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock levels are maintained
  • Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in purchasing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
