Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

We are currently seeking a Security Officer / Gatehouse Attendant to join our team in Osborne Park. In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact for anyone entering or exiting our site, helping us maintain a secure and well-managed operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety.

Shifts & Roster

This role operates on a rotating 4-week roster consisting of:

  • 7 Morning Shifts: 3:15 AM – 11:15 AM
  • 7 Afternoon Shifts: 11:15 AM – 7:15 PM
  • 7 Night Shifts: 7:15 PM – 3:15 AM
  • 2 days off between each shift rotation

Penalty rates apply:

  • Saturday: 50% loading
  • Sunday: 75% loading
  • Afternoon & Night Shifts: 15% loading on base rate

Daily Tasks

  • Performing Gatehouse duties, including greeting and managing entry for staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Operating the weighbridge system to monitor vehicle movement and weight
  • Managing site access control and ensuring compliance with visitor and contractor protocols
  • Carrying out office administration tasks, including recording staff absentees
  • Responding to alarms and assisting with emergency protocols as required
  • Overseeing vehicle access at multiple site entry points
  • Monitoring and updating turnstile and access records
  • Conducting routine site patrols to ensure safety and security

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring to the role

  • Previous experience in a security, gatehouse or site access control role (preferred)
  • Current Security Officer licence and any other relevant clearances (e.g. First Aid – desirable)
  • Ability to work across all three shift types in a rotating roster
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and site access records
  • A strong sense of responsibility, integrity and reliability
