About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Security Patrol Shift Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. This role plays a key part in overseeing the smooth operation of security patrol shifts, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining compliance with client and company requirements. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact during shifts and lead a team of security personnel to maintain high performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Dispatch & Oversight:
  • Oversee daily shift operations, dispatch patrol officers, and ensure timely deployment.
  • Monitor guards' start and finish times and ensure schedule adherence.
  • Equipment & Vehicle Management:
  • Ensure patrol equipment and vehicles are checked, operational, and compliant before each shift.
  • Report and follow up on any maintenance issues.
  • Alarm Response & Adhoc Patrols:
  • Allocate and manage alarm response jobs efficiently.
  • Follow up on completion, results, and ensure client communication is prompt and accurate.
  • Coordinate and oversee adhoc patrol services as required.
  • Client Communication & Incident Reporting:
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients during shifts.
  • Communicate outcomes of responses or incidents professionally and promptly.
  • Escalate breaches or critical incidents to management and clients as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit incident and escalation reports accurately.
  • Staff Leadership & Performance:
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and briefings to ensure team readiness and compliance.
  • Monitor and support staff performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Conduct shift handovers and ensure all relevant information is passed on clearly.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure daily logs and compliance documentation are completed accurately.
  • Maintain high standards of operational and safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the security industry.
  • Valid Security Licence and First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (mandatory).
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in report writing and using security management software/systems.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
