About the Role
Step into a high-impact leadership role where you'll shape the future of philanthropy at RFDS Victoria. Driving innovation, unlocking new revenue streams, and building powerful donor relationships. As Head of Philanthropy, you'll lead transformative strategies that elevate our reach and amplify our mission across communities in need.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and deliver a multi-year philanthropy strategy aligned with RFDS Victoria's mission and strategic priorities, building towards our 100-year anniversary in 2028.
- Cultivate and secure major gifts from individuals, Private Ancillary Funds (PAFs), and foundations, including stewardship of Social Impact Bonds.
- Monitor philanthropic trends and donor behaviour to inform strategy and innovation with a focus on the intergenerational transfer of wealth.
- Build programs and frameworks to support donor engagement and leverage existing products and events to grow philanthropic revenue.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team while staying ahead of philanthropic trends.
- Represent RFDS Victoria at high-level forums, events, and donor briefings.
To be successful, you will need:
- 10+ years in philanthropy or fundraising, with a strong track record in strategic planning and team leadership.
- Deep understanding of Australia's philanthropic landscape, trends, and ethical considerations.
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications and brings strong networks across business and the philanthropic community.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
