Scalabrini is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our Health & Safety team. In this critical role, you will ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment while fostering a proactive safety culture across the organisation. You'll lead injury prevention, early intervention, and return-to-work strategies, while ensuring legislative compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Health & Safety team, including the Injury & RTW Manager and Health & Safety Administrator.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and safety programs to ensure a safe workplace.
- Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments across the business.
- Champion a culture of safety, providing guidance and training to staff at all levels.
- Provide strategic direction in claims management, reducing costs and ensuring compliance.
- Act as a key safety representative across Scalabrini, engaging with village and support office teams.
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety with experience in injury management and workplace safety.
- In-depth knowledge of fitness-to-work assessments, work-related injuries, and claims management.
- Strong experience in developing safety policies, conducting audits, and providing senior-level reporting.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building skills, and a track record of fostering a safety culture.
- Knowledge of workplace safety legal and compliance requirements.
